This is the overall fourteenth chapter for the 2nd Year arc of You-Zitsu manga series.

Summary[]

On his way back from Keyaki Mall, Kiyotaka was approached by a boy and a girl. The girl asked him if he was Kiyotaka Ayanokōji from Class 2-D. They introduced themselves as Sakurako Tsubaki and Riku Utomiya. They inquired if he was interested in partnering up with Tsubaki since, like him, she also had a C in academic rating. Utomiya mentioned that they had gone to Keyaki Mall to find a suitable partner for her and had encountered Ayanokōji.

Given that this was the same situation he had anticipated when the Exam was announced, Ayanokōji was cautious, suspecting that they could be from the White Room. Consequently, he chose to decline their offer. Ayanokōji finally replied, stating that he already had a candidate in mind. However, Utomiya provided his contact information before he and Tsubaki departed, just in case Ayanokōji changed his mind.

On Sunday evening, Ayanokōji headed towards Keyaki Mall for negotiations with Hōsen. Joining him for the negotiations were Horikita and, after his persistent requests, Sudō. In the dorm lobby, Ayanokōji met with Sudō. While waiting for Horikita to arrive, they struck up a conversation. Sudō boasted that he would score at least 250 points in the upcoming exam and earn Suzune's praise. He also mentioned his determination to improve his strength, becoming more valuable to the class by the time they graduated. When Ayanokōji asked if Sudō would stop working hard if Horikita rejected him, Sudō replied that he would undoubtedly be frustrated, but he wouldn't resort to anything lame like giving up on his studies.

As they continued their discussion, Horikita arrived in the lobby. Sudō expressed his doubts about whether Hōsen would be receptive to their negotiations, to which Suzune responded that she had been working diligently to ensure their success. Ayanokōji couldn't help but wonder how well Suzune could handle Hōsen.
