This is the overall sixteenth chapter for the 2nd Year arc of You-Zitsu manga series.

Summary[]

On Sunday Afternoon, Kei Karuizawa and Maya Satō had made plans to hang out at Keyaki Mall. However, things quickly took an unexpected turn when Satō, with a determined look on her face, pulled Kei aside. Sensing something serious, Kei inquired about what was on Satō's mind.

With no hesitation, Satō confronted Kei directly, asking if she had broken up with Hirata because she was now dating Kiyotaka Ayanokoji. Kei's discomfort was noticeable, and Satō, her gaze filled with sadness, implored Kei to be honest, warning that they can't be friends if she lied. Satō's intense expression and her threat of ending their friendship if she lied pushed Kei to confess the truth. She admitted that she had started developing romantic feelings for Ayanokōji even before their double date.

Satō's immediate reaction was a surge of intense emotions. She slapped Kei and tearfully expressed her frustration, accusing Kei of taking advantage of her feelings for Kiyotaka, making it clear just how deeply the betrayal had hurt her. Kei, realizing her mistake, offered her other cheek as a gesture of acceptance and apology. However, Satō couldn't bring herself to strike Kei again, lacking the courage to do so.

In an attempt to mend their friendship, Kei pulled Satō into a comforting hug and sincerely apologized for falling for the same person, acknowledging her mistake and the pain it had caused Satō. The two friends, determined to rebuild their bond, decided to make amends by going for tea together at Keyaki Mall.
