This is the overall twentieth chapter for the 2nd Year arc of You-Zitsu manga series.

Summary[]

The chapter begins with Nanase standing between Hōsen and Ayanokōji.

She informs Hōsen that she cannot approve of his methods. Then, she tells Horikita that equal cooperation was never an option, even if they had paid 500,000 points for it. Hōsen reveals that it was Nanase's idea to take out Ayanokōji and claim the prize of his expulsion.

After becoming more frustrated, Hōsen shoves Nanase out of his way and lunged his arm up, ready to stab Ayanokōji. As Hōsen makes his move, Ayanokōji dashes towards him. Ayanokōji's monologue explains that Hōsen's plan is not to stab him, but to stab himself.

In the next panel, we see Hōsen's knife plunge through Ayanokōji's hand. Everyone is shocked, including Hōsen. Ayanokōji asks if the knife Hōsen is holding is the one he bought while shopping with Amasawa, revealing that he deduced Hōsen's intentions from how he held the knife.

Hōsen cannot believe that Ayanokōji is ready to be stabbed and how it isn't a wise thing to do. However, Ayanokōji disagrees. In his opinion, this was the only way to completely shut down Hōsen's plans. Ayanokōji then explains Hōsen's plan and how he came to that conclusion.

Hōsen is in disbelief and asks 'Who the fuck are you?'. Ayanokōji ignores the question and plainly states that Hōsen will be expelled.

Hōsen becomes frustrated and finally rips his hand free from Ayanokoji's grip. Ayanokōji explains how he deduced Hōsen's plan and how it would have failed if Amasawa had not perfected it.

He then offers two conditions in exchange for his confidentiality. The first condition is that Hosen agrees to Horikita's equal cooperation deal, and the second is that Hōsen becomes Ayanokōji's partner in this special exam. This revelation shocks everyone present.

Ayanokōji provides another monologue explaining why he wanted Hosen as his partner.

Ayanokōji informs Hosen that his expulsion would be regrettable, as he has assessed Ryūen to be currently stronger than Hōsen. This infuriates Hōsen and he explains that he has never faced such an exciting opponent as Ayanokōji before and how he doesn't just want to beat him anymore, he wants to kill him.

Nanase expresses her desire to remain and explain something to her seniors, which Hōsen Scoff's at. He then turns and walks away.
