Summary[]

A day later, a student informed the class that there were two freshmen approaching them in Class 2-D's Classroom. Kiyotaka stepped out into the hallway with a few of his classmates to check who they were. It was a tall boy with a female walking alongside him. They were Tsubasa Nanase and Kazuomi Hōsen, as Kiyotaka recalled them from the OAA App. Suzune and Sudō positioned themselves in front of them, blocking their way. For a little while, the first years stared at Kiyotaka before turning away. With an uninterested expression on his face, the boy inquired his companion about the ones blocking their way. After a moment, she consulted the OAA and replied that the girl was Suzune Horikita and Ken Sudō, and she even mentioned their academic abilities. Hearing Sudō's low score, the boy sneered at him. They both then introduced themselves to Horikita and Sudō.

Suzune said that, despite being freshmen, the two of them chose to attend her class on the spur of the moment, and she respected their boldness. Hōsen remarked that there was nothing to admire and informed Horikita that she was rather arrogant for someone who couldn't even find partners for the exam without begging their class. As a result, he informed them that he was willing to assist them. Suzune maintained that he had misunderstood: their statuses were the same because they were both Class D students. Hōsen said that this was not true and added that he could do whatever he wanted with them. Suzune inquired as to what he was referring about. He smiled and assured her that if he wanted, they could sabotage the test results. Sudō pointed out that if it was discovered that they had failed on the tests intentionally, the school would penalize them. Hōsen confirmed that this was indeed true, but the consequences vary depending on whether the student was in his first or second year. If a second-year student fails the test, they would be expelled, whereas a first-year student would only lose private points for the next three months. He didn't think this was much of a penalty for them, so he asked Nanase for confirmation. She agreed with him, and informed that they would lose no more than 240,000 private points. Hōsen, satisfied, asked Suzune whether she understood him.

Sudō, who had had enough, stood in front of him, fist clenched, but refrained from acting because Suzune reminded him that the school had security cameras in the hallways. Hōsen, on the other hand, used this diversion to push him away, causing him to fall to the ground. The students passing through the corridor were taken aback. Sudō was ready to rush him when Daichi Ishizaki stepped between them to prevent Hōsen from attacking. Ishizaki was about to grab Hōsen by the collar of his shirt when Ryūen interrupted and told him not to do so unless he wanted to die. Ibuki, who was also present at the time, questioned why he opted to retreat from the fight, given that he was always the one who started it. Ryūen added that he had heard a lot about someone named "Hōsen" in his neighborhood. Ishizaki inquired if Ryūen and he were acquainted. When he heard Ryūen's name, Hōsen recognized him and was thrilled to see him. He then remarked that Ryūen 's figure was leaner than he had expected. He suggested that they fight, but Ryūen refused. Ibuki inquired whether he was going to let a freshman abuse him this way. He said that they could settle their debts later. Hōsen told him to go outside and fight but Ryūen refused and turned to go. Hōsen, on the other hand, didn't want Ryūen to leave like that and so he grabbed Ibuki by the neck. She desperately tried to get rid of her, but she couldn't since Hōsen was too strong for her. Ryūen approached and kicked him, but he deflected it with his free hand. After all, Hōsen claimed, it was worthwhile to enroll in this school. His excitement was cut short by Nanase, who requested him to stop since causing a commotion would be futile. He said that he already understood that, but that he still wanted to have some fun. She, however, warned him that if he didn't stop, she would reveal about 'that.' Hearing this, Hōsen instantly gave up and let go of Ibuki, but not before warning Nanase that if she betrayed him, he would show her no mercy. Kiyotaka believed that Hōsen was dangerous after watching this scene.

Hōsen told Nanase that they would leave for now because they had already seen what they wanted to see. But before he left, he turned to a student who had watched this whole thing and asked him if he planned to watch it forever. This boy quoted that "a wise man stays away from danger" and advised him to leave because of the trouble he had caused. A teacher arrived and asked Hōsen what he was doing there, as he believed that the rules had already been explained to him several times. The teacher asked him to leave. Hōsen said goodbye to Suzune before leaving. Nanase apologized them for the trouble they had caused, then briefly glanced at Kiyotaka once more before leaving. The latter felt that that look was inquisitive, as if she were looking for something. The teacher then introduced himself as Katsunori Shiba, the homeroom teacher of Class 1-D, and after apologizing on behalf of his students left the lobby. The boy who had witnessed the scene approached them and introduced himself as Takuya Yagami, from Class 1-B. Kushida and her friends arrived, and seeing that they looked a bit agitated, she asked Suzune if something had happened. She Horikita replied that it was nothing. Yagami recognized Kushida, and as he introduced himself, she remembered him too. When Satou asked her if they already knew each other, she replied that they both studied at the same high school. Yagami then proposed partnering with Kushida for the Partner Special Exam.
