This is the sixth chapter for the 2nd Year arc of You-Zitsu manga series.
Summary[]
While walking to school, Kiyotaka encounters two first-year girls named Kasuga Kurihara and Tetsuko Konishi. He had seen them before on the OAA App and remembered that they were from Class A with excellent academic abilities. He wanted to talk to them but couldn't since they had partnered on the first day of the exam and he hesitated as it might look suspicious. Just then, Tsubasa approached him from behind and greeted him. She then asks if she can walk to school with him, to which he agrees.
They initiated a conversation and talked about that day in the corridor. She apologized for Hōsen's behavior that day and cursed her inability to stop him. While talking, Kiyotaka wondered why Tsubasa, who had a B in academic ability, didn't have a partner yet, which led him to assume that it was due to Hōsen's plan. Kiyotaka asks her if any students have tried to partner with her. Nanase mentions that several second-year Class A and C students have made offers to her. However, when Kiyotaka questioned Tsubasa why she didn't agree to them, Tsubasa refused to give an answer. Then Kiyotaka asked if they could cooperate on the exam as fellow Class D students, Tsubasa agreed that she herself would like to do that but couldn't due to the special circumstances involving Class 1-D. Kiyotaka inquired if she was referring to a situation involving Hōsen, which Tsubasa confirmed, saying that Kazuomi was the one leading Class 1-D, adding that many of her classmates were already following his every order. Kiyotaka asks why Tsubasa didn't seem to be under Kazuomi's control, and she claims that she doesn't succumb to violence. In turn, Tsubasa asks Kiyotaka whether he thinks violence is good or bad. Kiyotaka answers that it is an advantageous thing, to which Tsubasa agrees. Finally, Tsubasa offers to arrange a meeting between their classes, to which Kiyotaka agrees, asking if she could try to convince Hōsen. The two then exchange contact information to arrange the meeting.
After meeting Suzune near the elevator door, he informs her about the meeting proposal with Tsubasa. Suzune commented that it was unlike him to do such a thing. They shift to talking about Class 1-D's partner less situation, and comment that it must be due to their demand for 500K private points. Even so, with classes 2-A and 2-C competing in money games for the smarter first years, they would have a better chance to partner up with Class 1-D students. She hints that Class A's point offers are lower than Class C's. She notes that while Class A was using the value of being Class A, Class C seemed to be spending more points to get partners. Suzune says that the ones they should aim for are the average students, with academic ability ranging from C+ to B-. She said that she will try to create a "fake competition" for average students while focusing on partnering with Class 1-D. Suzune explains that Kazuomi doesn't only want points, evident from that day when he went to the second-year corridors and declared to cooperate with Class 2-D and that he may want something else. Tsubasa's mention of "that" was also suspicious. Then, Kiyotaka remembers that Yagami seemed to trust Kushida and had paired with her. Suzune believes that using Kushida as a link to Class 1-B and having them partner may prove useful to their class.
During the lunch break, Hirata approaches Suzune and informs her that a junior in his soccer club has been reached out to by Class 2-A and Class 2-C, even though their academic ability is only C. However, when Suzune looked at that student's other OAA evaluations, they were relatively high. This prompts them to think that Class 2-A is thinking of long-term benefits instead of just this exam. Kiyotaka, who was listening to the conversation between the two, found it curious that Class C did the same thing as Class A. After Hirata left, Suzune messaged Kiyotaka, who she noticed was eavesdropping. They lamented the fact that being branded as class D is a huge handicap. Suzune then agrees to be present at the meeting with Tsubasa and requests that he send her a message arranging a meeting tomorrow. Kiyotaka understood why she arranged the meeting to be tomorrow since they had to take care of another problem that day, referring to Ichika's test.
