"Complicated Feelings" (複雑な感情, Fukuzatsuna Kanjō) is a short story from Melon Books' store privilege for volume 6 of 2nd Year arc of You-Zitsu light novel series, together with other three short stories.

Summary[]

Sakayanagi visited Kiyotaka, who was absent from the sports festival, in his room. She was grateful for the wonderful opportunity to speak with him without needing to be cautious. During her conversation, she realized something, and before she could say it, Kiyotaka grabbed her shoulders and pushed her away. Even though the push was gentle, it was enough for her to lose her balance and fall onto the bed.

Ayanokouji then jumped on top of Sakayanagi and placed both of his hands on the sides of her head before Sakayanagi could comprehend what was going on. She didn't want to believe he'd succumbed to his primal instincts, but given his unexpected actions, she couldn't rule it out either. Kiyotaka reveals that his entire school life was dependent on the plan he devised, and the fact that she showed up on that day and had shown an interest in learning it was within his possibilities. He warns her that if she leaks his plan, she will be a hindrance. But Sakayanagi claims that she understands that it would be a significant problem for him and that even he knew she wouldn't be naïve enough to reveal it. Kiyotaka goes on to explain that the chances aren't zero and that she may blackmail him into revealing it if he doesn't agree to a fight with her. She admits that she could do it, but wonders if threatening to reveal the truth about the White Room would be better if she really did want to blackmail him.

Sakayanagi tried to figure out what his true goal was, but couldn't come up with an answer since she couldn't calm herself down. Kiyotaka abruptly asks if they should begin the special lesson. When Sakayanagi heard this, she looked into his eyes and realized what he wanted. She simply chuckled and closed her eyes as she waited for the lesson to begin. She thinks to herself that if that's what he's wanted, she doesn't care, and even though she knew she was going to be used, she resolves that if Kiyotaka decides to use her, she'll also use him to the end as well.
