Summary[]
Sae Chabashira is taken aback when Chie suddenly announces her intention to return to her room. The abruptness of Chie's announcement, accompanied by her unruly behavior, leaves Sae shocked. In place of Chie, who appeared to be under the influence of alcohol, Sae takes it upon herself to apologize to Horikita for Chie's actions. She subtly implies that Chie's behavior is a result of her intoxication. Sae reflects on Chie's conduct, suggesting that her actions would likely be different if she were sober.
Horikita responds to Sae's apology for Chie's actions with a surprising degree of understanding and maturity and says that she would dismiss Chie's actions as mere jokes influenced by alcohol.
Sae shares her thoughts about the differences between her current class and ones she taught three years ago. She acknowledges that the blame for a class' situation isn't solely on the students but also on the teacher. She reflects on what might have been if she had been more motivated at the time, suggesting that her lack of enthusiasm might have hindered the class's progress.
The conversation then shifts to Ayanokōji, whom Sae acknowledges as having played a significant role in the class's development. As Horikita expresses her ambition to reach Class A and use all available resources without hesitation, Sae acknowledges her intentions. Sae then decides to leave and check on Chie to prevent her from overindulging and creating further issues.
Sae's conversation with Horikita prompts her not only to acknowledge her concerns about her class's current status but also to reflect on her role as a teacher. Despite her doubts, she remains determined to improve the class's situation.
