Appearance
Masayoshi has long blonde hair that is tied in a ponytail and green eyes. He is normally seen wearing a male student uniform.
Personality
Masayoshi is a very self-serving individual with no real loyalty to anyone other than himself. He always sides with and places his bets on the winning team, in order to always stay on top.
Plot
When the Class-A leadership conflict breaks out at the beginning of the first year, Masayoshi determines that Arisu Sakayanagi is the better candidate for the position of leader and quickly joins her faction and becomes part of her inner circle.
In Volume 7, when Kakeru Ryūen tries to kick at Arisu's face, Masayoshi intervenes with his left arm, taking the blow for her, getting blown away and falling onto the floor due to the force of the blow.[1]
During the Mixed Training Camp, Masayoshi was in Kiyotaka Ayanokōji's group. He was shown to have a good social network when he was able to talk freely with Miyabi Nagumo about Kiyotaka and other things. Their group managed to avoid expulsion by clearing the minimum cut-offs decided by the school. [2]
In Volume 9, Hashimoto finds Kiyotaka Ayanokōji and Kei Karuizawa in a lonely area, with Kei giving Kiyotaka some sort of gift, on Valentines Day, and asks them about it. After some questioning, he heads back with Kiyotaka and exchanges contact information with him.[3]
During the Event Selection Exam, Masayoshi was selected by Arisu for the last event-the chess competition, where he was to be matched against Suzune Horikita. After giving away an early lead to Suzune, Arisu was able to bring the game in their favor in the end and win, however it was later revealed that Arisu would not have won if Tsukishiro had not interfered in the event by giving Suzune the wrong instructions.[4]
In Volume 11.5 Masayoshi is shown to be in secret talks with Kakeru and Ryūji Kanzaki of Class-B, when they met in a cubicle.[5]
