Summary[]
Honami had a restless night's sleep, staying awake past midnight and waking up around 5 in the morning, which was unusual for her as she typically slept for 7 or 8 hours. She attributes her lack of sleep to the multitude of thoughts racing through her mind.
She mentions that she's scheduled to meet Ayanokōji at 10 in the morning at Keyaki Mall. Despite the early hour and her tiredness, she doesn't want to go back to sleep, as she's excited and anxious about the meeting. Honami acknowledges that her meeting with Ayanokōji isn't a romantic date, as he has someone special in his life, and she's just a fellow student. She suspects that the meeting is related to her recent resignation from the student council, a topic that has already generated rumors and curiosity among her classmates.
She leaves early to avoid encountering anyone on her way to Keyaki Mall, as the cold weather helps her maintain her composure. Upon arriving at the meeting spot, she mentally prepares herself for the discussion with Ayanokōji. She resolves not to show any signs of gloominess, avoid asking about Karuizawa, and hide any unusual emotions. She repeats to herself that she is just Ayanokōji's friend and believes she will be fine.
When Ayanokōji finally approaches, she greets him with a cheerful "Good morning" and reminds herself to conceal her true feelings during their meeting, hoping to move forward from whatever issues may arise.
