Appearance
Professor Ayanokōji is a middle aged man who looks to be in his 40s. Like his son, he has brown hair and has a more sterner look.
Personality
According to Chairman Sakayanagi, he has stronger ambitions than anyone and an unyielding and indomitable fighting spirit, despite having never possessed any special talent. That is the reason for his rise, to the extent that, at one point in time, he could move the country.[1]
Despite being proud of his son, Professor Ayanokōji only seems to value him more as a possession. He openly stated that he knew his son would not be fooled by a tactic showing signs of any fatherly affection. He also tried to command Kiyotaka to sign the withdrawal form.
Background
Professor Ayanokōji was said to be a commoner, who has never graduated from a top university or even possessed an outstanding athleticism. His former lover is also the same, and none of their relatives show any signs of remarkable abilities and talents.
Around 20 years ago, he established the White Room, an educational institution to raise a human and removing unnecessary things from their education, with the ultimate goal of creating generations of perfect individuals to lead Japan in the future.[1]
As told in Volume 7, there seems to be very minimal to no interaction between him and his son, Kiyotaka. Kiyotaka himself was seen as the most successful product of the White Room. However, when the institution was shut down for one year, he managed to escape, with the help of their butler, Matsuo.
Kiyotaka then went to the Advanced Nurturing High School. The school's chairman, Mr Sakayanagi, was an acquaintance of Professor Ayanokōji and holds him in high regards. While Kiyotaka wasn't on the school's admission list, Chairman Sakayanagi made an exception and approved him based on his own judgement. [2]
Plot
He first appeared in Volume 7, when he came to Advanced Nurturing High School to call Kiyotaka back to the White Room. When Kiyotaka refused to return, he went saying that he will still bring him back to the White Room at any cost. [2]
