Summary[]
After knowing that the eyewitness was a student of Class D, Kazuma Sakagami tried to ridicule Class D but was stopped by Sae Chabashira before doing that. When asked to give her testimony on the incident, Sakura froze before she could say anything. Seeing her freeze before she could say anything, Sakagami tried to conclude that Airi was just wasting their time and Class D had no eye-witness.
Sae agreeing with Sakagami and asked Sakura to go back. Suzune Horikita hearing her clenched her skirt trying to control herself when suddenly Sakura said that she was sure that she had witnessed Class C students hitting Ken Sudō first. Hearing her, Class C students were left astonished. Asking for permission to speak, Sakagami counter questioned Sakura for her delay in appearing as a witness. He then theorized that Class D students might have created a fake witness, that too with a person who had testified with a lack of confidence.
Sakura then said she was confident of what she said and slammed some photographs on the student council president's desk. The student council president then looked at the scattered photographs on his desk. Sakura said that those digital photos had a date and time printed on them. When refuted by Sakagami that the photographs might have been altered, the student council president said that those photographs can't have been faked. As his proof, he showed a photograph with Sudō and Class C students.
Sakagami then said that she may have been at the scene but she didn't have definite proof as to who started the fight. He then asked Sae if they should look at a point of compromise. He then added that he was sure that Sudō was lying but felt that Class C was also at fault. And so he proposed that Sudō must be suspended for two weeks while Class C student would be suspended for one week. The difference between the penalties was based on the gravity of the injuries.
Sae concluded that Class D should have no problem accepting the proposal. Kiyotaka Ayanokōji observing Horikita thought that if Horikita was to accept the proposal set up then as a student aiming for Class A, it would be a failure. He then began talking to Horikita as if he felt that this was the only compromise left as there was no absolute proof of what happened in the special annex. He then thought that he would like for her to understand his point even if she took it at face value.
Sakagami then asked Class D's opinion on the proposal. Horikita getting up criticized Sudō for his lack of awareness about others and his use of violence. She then said that his attitude was the cause of this incident and asked him to change it. Hearing her, Sakagami concluded that the matter was settled but Horikita continuing said that he must reflect on his attitude in class but in this particular incident, she believed him to be innocent. She then declared that Class C was the only one at fault here, and she would like to prove Sudō's innocence. Thus, after Suzune's proclamation, the case was to be retried the next day.
After the discussion, Ayanokōji and Sakura were standing outside of the student council room. Sakura apologized to Ayanokōji for not coming forward in the beginning but Ayanokōji consoling her said that the outcome wouldn't have changed either way. While they were talking, Manabu Horikita, along with Akane Tachibana arrived there. Manabu then asked what would Ayanokōji do now that the case had turned the way it had. He then asked if he had some kind of plan or if Suzune was just acting rashly in her proclamation. continuing to talk, Manabu then criticized Sakura for her being unable to make them believe in her testimony but Ayanokōji said that he believed in Sakura's testimony. After listening to him, Manabu asked if he could prove her testimony. But Ayanokōji answered that proving that it was his sister's duty, she would find some way to do it. Manabu left them while smiling at his declaration. After being left alone Ayanokōji again consoled Sakura and said that he was her friend and as a friend, he would believe her regardless of what others said.
While they were talking, they ran into Honami Ichinose and Ryūji Kanzaki. When Ayanokōji began talking with Ichinose, Sakura quickly left saying she would try to do her best. After seeing Airi leave, Ayanokōji told Ichinose about the discussion and how Class D was asserting complete innocence. Whether the discussions the next day took a turn for the worse or not would be something Class D would have to face. When Ichinose said that she would try to gather more information to help Class D, she was told that there was no need to do that by the sudden appearance of Suzune. Suzune then asked something that she would like Ichinose to prepare.
