Summary[]

When asked about mastermind, Honami describes that in the past, Class B had also gotten into a dispute with Class C. And even though the school didn't get involved that time, Honami believed that a student named Ryūen was the one pulling strings behind the scenes.

Honami describes Ryūen as a person who doesn't hesitate to hurt others for his own sake. She said that even as a freshman, he is one to be on guard against. And added that he might have understood the workings of the school if he has started to instigate things like Sudō's incident.

In the student council room, Suzune and Sudō were waiting for the conclusion that was to be reached that day. Horikita thought that if the worse would come to pass, she would gladly listen to Sudō's complaints. While she was thinking that she saw Horikita Manabu enter the student council room together with Kazuma Sakagami and Sae Chabashira. When asked about the absence of Ayanokōji, Suzune answered that he was not participating at that time as the conclusion won't change with or without his presence. After they settled down, Class C students arrived at the student council room. While Manabu was trying to get started with the discussion, Ishizaki and Class C students, approaching their homeroom teacher, asked if they would be allowed to withdraw their complaint. When asked for confirmation by Manabu, Ishizaki confirmed saying that the complaint was a mistake. Hearing them, Sae chuckled to herself. Ishizaki then apologized for taking up their time. Sakagami, not believing that they were withdrawing on their own accord, asked Sudō if he had threatened them with violence. He then asked them to speak the truth but Ishizaki refused, saying that their decision was final.

Manabu agreed to withdraw the complaint. However, Sudō, displeased with Class C for doing as they pleased, was beginning to lash out at them when he was restrained by Suzune, who said that they accept their withdrawal. Manabu then asked Class C to pay for overhead expenses for withdrawal of the case.

After the withdrawal of the case, Sudō was allowed to participate in his club activities. Sae then said that she would have wanted Sudō to be punished for his violent behavior and said that he can't make true friends with that attitude. Sudō, saying that he would not cause any more problems, left for his club activities.

After he left, Sae asked Manabu and Akane to leave first as she wanted to talk with Suzune for a moment. She then inquired about the method she used to manage to have Class C withdraw the complaint. After Suzune tried to evade the question, Sae changing her question asked who was the one who thought about the strategy for their withdrawal, hinting that it was Ayanokōji. Suzune then described Ayanokōji as a capable person, even though he acted like a goof and undertook puzzling actions. She then added that he was a person who adhered to Ostrich policy. Sae said that if she was really aiming for Class A, she should understand the person known as Ayanokōji as much as possible before it becomes too late. Not understanding what she was trying to say, Suzune asked her the reason. Sae, in turn, asked if she really thought that Ayanokōji was adhering to Ostrich policy after everything he had done so far. She then added that Ayanokōji was Class D's - a place full of defective products, most defective product.

After Sudō left the student council room, he met with Ayanokōji who was standing there. When asked about the discussion, Sudō joyously replied that it was resolved thanks to Suzune and he was leaving for club activities. After Sudō left, Manabu approached Ayanokōji and said that Class C had withdrawn the complaint and asked if this was the method he used to prove that Sakura wasn't the liar. He then confirmed with Akane if there was an unfilled secretary position in the student council. After receiving the confirmation, Manabu offered the position to Ayanokōji. Hearing him, Akane tried to object but denied any objection when asked firmly again. Ayanokōji turning down the invitation said that he would rather live his school life peacefully. After hearing his rejection, Manabu with Akane in tow left him alone.

After some time, Sae and Suzune left the student council room. Suzune then asked if he had led her to fabricate the evidence by making her notice the absence of cameras. She then asked about his true nature. Ayanokōji denied and said that he was just a follower of ostrich policy. While Horikita disagreed and was trying to say something, she was interrupted by the sudden appearance of a male student. The student said that they were able to set the Class C students using fake cameras but now he would be their next opponent and as such should prepare for it. The male student then left giving after making the declaration.

Horikita then asked the reason he helped them despite being a follower of ostrich policy. Hearing her, Ayanokōji answered that he was probably only trying to help the first friend he had ever made. Ayanokōji thought about how Class C had Ryūen - the male student who had just made the declaration of war. Class B had Kanzaki and Ichinose - a person who had amassed a large number of private points with methods unknown and Class A with students that might even surpass Ichinose, Horikita, in her current state can't reach Class A. He believed that even though he had chosen that school to lead a peaceful life, his actions were opposite and he knew it better than anyone.
