Summary[]

When Yamauchi attempted to assist Ibuki because she appeared to be in pain, Ibuki refused and said that they were stupid for helping their enemy. Yamauchi was eventually successful in persuading her to accompany them back to their Class D camp.

Back at the camp, Ike started the fire while some of the girls went in search of fruits to eat. He also apologised to Shinohara for refusing to buy a bathroom stating that having to share one with boys was inconvenient for girls. Shinohara apologised for becoming angry after hearing his apology. Afterward, Hirata told everyone about his plan, which consisted of spending points to buy basic necessities as he didn't think they needed to be obsessed with the idea of reserving all of their points. He went on to say that if they could pass the exam with at least 120 points, it would make a big difference. However, if they were able to obtain food and water on the island, they would be able to save even more points.

Some of the students were perplexed as to why Ibuki was in their camp, while others suspected she was a spy attempting to discover who the leader of Class D was. She was about to leave because she assumed they were going to kick her out anyway. Hirata, on the other hand, insisted her to stay, saying it was because he couldn't abandon a student in such condition. Ibuki eventually relents and explains that she had a fight with a student in her class and was kicked out of their camp as a result. Thus, Hirata persuades everyone to let Ibuki stay, which they agree to as long as she doesn't touch other people's belongings or cause trouble. Kiyotaka reasoned that allowing her to stay was a wise decision because if she wasn't in her class when roll call came, Class C would gradually lose points.

At night, after making sure everyone was sound asleep, Kiyotaka opened Ibuki's bag and discovered a digital camera inside. When he returned to his tent, he discovered Hirata had woke up. Hirata greets him and inquires as to whether he went to the restroom because he has wet hands. Hirata then mentions that he had difficulty sleeping in such a place, because he was concerned that his class did not have enough points, especially since Kouenji had withdrawn from the test due to his alleged illness. Hirata then went to use the restroom, and Kiyotaka took advantage of his absence to tear out a blank page from the manual and drawing something on it, which he quickly hid when he returned.

They went to the river to wash their faces, where they met Ryuuji Kanzaki from Class B. He greets them and inquired about their camp's progress. Kanzaki then informed Ayanokouji of their camp's location and suggested that they go meet Ichinose. He also requested Ayanokouji to inform it to 'that' person, whom Ayanokouji assumed was Horikita based on their previous encounter during the false assault incident.

Some time later, two students from Class C arrived at the camp with a message from Ryuuen: if they truly wanted to enjoy the summer, they should go to the beach. Kiyotaka was curious to see the Class C camp, despite the weak provocation, and asks Horikita if she woulld like to go there with him, which she accepts. When the two arrived at beach, they were surprised to see how nonchalantly they were taking the exam, and based on the number of items they had purchased, they surmised that Class C was not saving the points at all.

Ryuuen greets them as Suzune remarks that she feels stupid for coming; in response, he tells her that the really stupid thing is to try so hard to save a few hundred points, and invites her to join them in having fun. She doesn't bother to respond and instead inquires as to the nature of the conflict between Ibuki and Ryuuen. Ryuuen simply states that a person who defies the "ruler" is not required, and said he punished her similarly to another person who did the same. He claims that he unconcerned about what happens to her and that all they want to do is enjoy their vacation.
