Summary[]
Kiyotaka believes that Ryūen and Ibuki showed up at a rather opportune time, and suggests to Suzune that the latter might be spying on her. She dismisses the idea, since Ibuki wasn't behaving strangely and only concludes that they guessed they would meet today at 8. He thinks to himself that he will be able to use this exam to provoke Ryūen and force him to make his move. Suzune tells him that there is no way they could know what he did behind the scenes, since from the outside he is just a normal student; besides, if they were really looking for him, they would have taken worse measures. The two split up to rejoin their groups, and Kiyotaka asks her to let him know if anything happens.
When he arrives at the Rabbit group, Honami greets him and takes a seat. He notices that Karuizawa seemed to be behaving strangely, because he expected her to be upset with Ibuki after she stole her underwear; instead, she seemed quite calm. From the loudspeaker, a voice announces the beginning of the group meeting, and Honami proposes that everyone introduce themselves. Kōji Machida, a student from Class A, thinks there is no point in doing that. She argues that the school could be watching them, and if they see that they are not getting along there could be consequences. Machida can't refute that answer, so he agrees. Honami is the first to introduce herself, and the other students in the group follow suit. Once the introductions are over, she takes the floor again to discuss how they will deal with this exam; her proposal is to ensure that everyone wins points, and for this she considers that the best thing would be to aim for the first outcome. Most of the group agrees, except for the students of Class A. They think that this solution is not fair, since they would be doing the VIP a great favor, so they propose to avoid group discussions. Thus, traitors won't be able to occur in the group, and while they won't be able to earn many class points, the amount of private points they'll earn in return will make up for it. However, Honami points out that if they do this, the class points won't change, which benefits only Class A. Since the Class A boys didn't agree with her approach, they decided to move their chairs and separate from the group, and to not participate in the discussions.
As Honami wondered what her strategy should be, Shiho Manabe, a student from Class C, talks to Karuizawa and asks her if she knows a girl named Rika. She denies knowing who she is, so Manabe tells her that she is a classmate of hers. Furthermore, Rika claims that Kei was bullying her. Karuizawa reiterates that she doesn't know who she is which causes Manabe to lose her cool, and demand an apology from her. She pulls out her phone to take a photo of Karuizawa so she can confirm with Rika if it's her. However, Kei throws her phone on the ground and asks her not to take photos of her without her permission. Manabe and the other Class C girls angrily demands Karuizawa to let them take a picture of her. Karuizawa seeks protection from Machida and begs him to defend her from the other girls as she grabs his arm to her chest, making him blush. Hesitantly, he tells the girls to stop trying to take a picture of Karuizawa since it was only based on the assumption that she was the one bothering Rika. Manabe and her friends have no choice but to give up taking her picture, and soon after, it is announced over the loudspeaker that the meeting time is up.
Back in their room, Yukimura, Hirata, and Kiyotaka started talking about the special exam. Kōenji was exercising in the same room before being asked by Hirata if he would like to join the conversation. Seeing that he refused, Yukimura warned him that it would be best if he doesn’t withdraw again like in the previous exam. Kōenji commented that there was no point in taking a test that wasn't entertaining and took his cell phone to send an email to the school. After a few moments, all their cell phones rang to notify them that the exam for Kōenji's Monkey group, had concluded.
