This is the overall thirty-eighth chapter of You-Zitsu manga series.
Summary[]
Honami is surprised at the offer from Ryūen, who wanted to get Class B and C to cooperate. Kiyotaka knew that it would be difficult for the two classes to work together, especially since Class D already had an alliance with Class B; he thinks that to be able to offer a deal like this, Ryūen must have planned something. Kiyotaka decides to express his opinion and says that his plan made no sense as if Classes B and C were to form an alliance, it would be possible that Classes D and A to do the same. Even though Ryūen argues that Katsuragi wouldn't cooperate with Class D like that out of the blue, he knows that ever since his defeat on the island, he is in a shaky position. However, in the end, Ichinose ends up rejecting the deal, because some of his classmates would be upset if they were to cooperate with him. Ryūen understands her reasons, and even though his proposal was rejected, he didn't seem disappointed at all. He leaves the room, and Kushida says goodbye to them to go meet her friends. The others also decide to leave to return to their rooms; however, Honami turns to Kiyotaka and invites him to accompany her to another place.
The two go out on deck. She mentions that she could sense Suzune doubting the alliance between their classes as they discussed Ryūen's proposal; however, he still believes that they can work together. Honami thinks that in order to do that they will have to find out the identity of the VIP. She claims that she is not the VIP, but she's determined to find the VIP so her group can achieve victory. Kiyotaka reflects to himself that if she really wants him to help her, she should have asked for his help directly. Also, he remarked that even though she claimed not to be the VIP, she didn't show her phone with the school mail to prove it. Hamaguchi, a classmate of Honami's, approaches them out of curiosity to know what they were talking about; she replies that they were discussing about the identity of the VIP. So, Kiyotaka tells them that neither he nor Yukimura is the VIP, but adds that he's not sure about Karuizawa and Sotomura. Honami and Hamaguchi discuss for a moment in private, before replying that neither of them were the VIP either and asks Kiyotaka to trust them. Honami apologizes to Kiyotaka, as she felt as if she had forced him to admit that he is not the VIP. He replies that there is no problem, but adds to himself that one day he will be the one to apologize to her.
At another group meeting, Kiyotaka had arrived early as usual to observe the behavior of everyone in the Rabbit group. Manabe and other girls from Class C invited Machida to hang out with them after the meeting is over. Karuizawa arrives and demands that Manabe get up from her seat. The latter asks her not to interrupt her while she is chatting. Karuizawa then grabs Machida's hand and asks him to tell Manabe who he wants to sit next to, causing him to blush. Kiyotaka considers this to be a bold move, especially considering she was in a relationship with Hirata. The girls from Class C were visibly upset by this. Honami walks into the room and is shocked to see the two of them holding hands.
