Summary[]

Honami explains to everyone that although it is forbidden to tamper with mail sent by the school, it is not forbidden to fool others using cell phones. She turns to Kiyotaka and asks if that phone belongs to him, because a moment ago the number she called was his and not Yukimura's. Machida wondered how Yukimura could unlock the phone if the phone didn't belong to him. In addition, the emails received seemed to be for him. She points out that Yukimura may have asked Kiyotaka for the password beforehand. It was also possible to replicate the history of calls and messages from one phone to another, even though it would take a lot of effort. On the other hand, Honami thinks that people can't lie that easily. According to her, Yukimura's attitude and gestures during the discussion were quite suspicious. She tells them that Class B also thought that a plan like this to exchange cell phones would be useful if the VIP was one of them. However, this plan had a weakness: phone numbers. Honami explains that even though messages and call history could be replicated, it was impossible to change numbers. She tells them that she and Hamaguchi once tried to exchange SIM cards. As a result, their phones were locked and they were unable to make or receive calls. In conclusion, you could not change the number.

Having said this, Honami informs everyone that Kiyotaka is the real VIP. She asks Machida not to betray them now that he knows the VIP. An announcement over the loudspeaker told them that there were only five minutes left before the exam was over. Yukimura cursed loudly as the Class A students jeered at him. Frustrated, he told Kiyotaka that it would have been better not to go through with his plan and left soon after. The other members of the Rabbit group also left, leaving only Honami and Kiyotaka. She asks if he's not worried, since he seemed pretty calm. He replies that he no longer has a choice and that the only thing he can do now is trust that they will not betray him. When Kiyotaka got up to leave, Honami asked Kiyotaka to wait. She wanted to know if the one who came up with the plan was Suzune. She then asks Kiyotaka to tell her that Suzune's plan was a success. Confused, Kiyotaka corrects her and says that it was more of a failure, since she managed to find out. She laughs. He apologizes for lying to her, especially since they were allies of hers. Honami says that she's fine and states that she wasn't mad at them. After all, Class B also carried out their own plan.

Kiyotaka started to leave, but she stopped him again. She wanted to tell him to wait for the important part. Kiyotaka didn't understand what she meant. She explains to him that it was true that when she exchanged her SIM card with Hamaguchi, their phones were locked. However, she found out that there was a way to unlock it after consulting her teacher. All she had to do was pay points and the school would unlock the phone. She went on to say that now that she had revealed that Yukimura wasn't the VIP, everyone would be convinced that Kiyotaka was. According to her, it is easy for a lie that follows another to be taken as truth after the first one is exposed. The real catch in the plan was convincing them that he was the VIP. He thought to himself that she was able to see the truth behind the plan, even the one that he had kept from Yukimura. Out of curiosity, Honami asks what he would have done if the VIP hadn't been someone from his class. Kiyotaka mentions that he would have done the same as her. He would borrow his cell phone from someone who is known to be the VIP within his class, even if they were not in the same group. If the real VIP reveals the deception, they will be exposed. If they didn't, a traitor who guesses wrong would appear. Even if the class does not get points, they will be able to widen or reduce the point difference with other classes. Honami pulls out a second phone from her pocket, owned by another group's VIP, and admits that's what she did. On the other hand, she comments that, based on the way today's conversation has gone, Honami asks what she would have done if the VIP hadn't been someone from her class. Kiyotaka mentions that he would have done the same as her. He would borrow the cell phone from someone who is known to be the VIP within his class, even though they were not in the same group. If the real VIP reveals the deception, he will be exposed. If the VIP isn't exposed, a traitor might appear. Even if his class didn't get points, they would be able to widen or reduce the point difference within other classes. Honami pulls out a second phone from her pocket, owned by another group's VIP, and admits that's what she had in mind. She concludes that, based on the way today's discussion went, Kei Karuizawa must be the real VIP.
