Summary[]
In response to Suzune's question, Kushida claims that she can trust her. Kiyotaka abruptly announces that he is leaving and asked the two of them to do the soccer club reconnaissance on their own.
With only a week until the Sports Festival, Class D begins to decide the participants for the events. Hirata proposes that Sudō be the anchor for the 1200-meter relay event based on the results of the practices, to which no one objects. Soon after, Suzune asks Sudō and Hirata to accompany her outside the classroom to discuss something. When they get outside, she requests to be the anchor instead of Sudō. The latter inquires as to why she wishes to replace the anchor. She claims that having an advantage from the start would be ideal, and since she is also athletic, she would have no trouble filling that position. Sudō is still confused as to why Horikita wants to be the anchor. Kushida suddenly approaches them and wonders if Suzune has another reason for wanting to be the anchor. Horikita then mentions that her brother, the student council president, will most likely be be the anchor of his class. Kiyotaka explains how both she and her brother were quite distant, and mentions that she probably wants a chance to reconcile with him during the relay. Understanding the situation better, Sudō agrees to let horikita be the anchor for the relay.
Soon the day of the sports festival arrives. While the students were waiting excitedly for the start of the 100-meter race, Kiyotaka and Suzune remarked that cameras were installed to ensure that the results were fair. Soon after, the 100-meter race begins for the first group in which Sudō wins with an overwhelming victory. As Sudō returns after his race, Hirata and others congratulate him on his victory. As the 100-meter race progressed, it came time for the third group, which included students like Katsuragi from Class A and Kanzaki from Class B. Kōenji was also in the third group, but he was nowhere to be found. Later, Hirata finds Kōenji relaxing at the rest area.
