"Something I Have to Tell You" (伝えなきゃいけないこと, Tsutae Nakya Ikenai Koto) is a short story for volume 4 of 2nd Year arc of You-Zitsu light novel series, from the purchase of MF Tape J 062 collection, with other three short stories.

Summary[]

On the final day of the uninhabited island exam, in the early morning, Honami Ichinose leaves her group and begins running into the forest to find Kiyotaka Ayanokōji, who is heading to I2. She ends up using the GPS search and sees him in the northern part of the island, contrary to what she has wished. Honami remembers the conversation she has overheard and keeps on running. She then reaches her limit and collapses, but is still determined to find Kiyotaka. Honami thinks of how she has left her classmates behind, and wonders about the purpose of her actions.

During that moment, Honami spots Kiyotaka on the other side of the river. Despite of her exhaustion, she manages to yell out at him and tries to get to his place. Honami realises her purpose, that she wants to meet Kiyotaka, and there is something she has to tell him.
