Summary[]
Ichinose Honami arrives early to a meeting with Ayanokouji Kiyotaka, sitting on a bench and feeling happy just at the thought of spending time with him. However, she is aware that Ayanokouji is currently in a relationship with Karuizawa Kei, and while she enjoys the idea of being close to him, she tries to keep her emotions in check, accepting the situation as it is. Honami imagines what it would be like if they were lovers, picturing Ayanokouji calling her by her first name and the closeness they would share, which causes her heart to flutter.
Despite her growing feelings, Honami struggles with her one-sided love and wonders how long she can suppress it. When Ayanokouji finally arrives, she greets him warmly, but soon raises a concern about the public setting of their meeting, wondering if people might misunderstand their relationship. Ayanokouji reassures her, revealing that he had already informed Karuizawa about their meeting, believing that honesty is important in relationships.
The conversation shifts to the upcoming special exam, a crucial event that both Honami and Ayanokouji are involved in. They briefly discuss the stakes of the exam, knowing they are in a position where they cannot afford to lose. However, despite the seriousness of their roles in the exam, Honami chooses to focus on the brief moment of happiness she feels in Ayanokōji's presence, silently wishing to savor it before the pressures of the competition take over.
