"The Circumstances of Honami Ichinose's Test" (一之瀬帆波の試験事情, Ichinose Honami no Shiken Jijō) is a short story from Melon Books' store privilege for the third volume of You-Zitsu light novel series, together with other two short stories.
Summary[]
Class B students were playing the roles they had been given on the uninhabited island properly. Feeling satisfied with the hammock she was making, Honami stood up and announced that it was finally complete. Chihiro, who was supervising the progress from the side, looked happy and complimented Honami for her work.
Chihiro who had linked arms with her looked like a little sister to Honami. When Chihiro had confessed her love to Honami, Honami feared that their relationship would get sour because of her rejection but on the next day after the rejection, she went back to usual and Honami too talked to her like she did before the confession.
Chihiro praising Honami said that she excelled at everything and if there was anything she wasn't good with like sports or anything. Honami thought she was pretty bad at sports, while she was confident in her running speed, she was very bad at keeping balance. While she was cursing her lack of motor skills, Chihiro said that she considered all of that just gets added as her cute points.
While they were talking, there could hear boys playing with the water and enjoying themselves making Honami wonder if she should join them. While she was thinking that Chihiro said they looked like a bunch of brats and were embarrassing. Honami thought that Chihiro was harsh on boys and thought if she had some kind of conflict with them. While thinking that, Honami said that everyone had done great even though no-one had previously experienced something like an uninhabited survival. The way Class-B had worked in the exam calmly was beyond Honami's expectation. She thought that thanks to everyone's hard work, they could enjoy the summer vacation while earning points.
Chihiro then invited her to go to the seaside for some swimming. Honami asked if they should ask everybody to which Chihiro said that she would like to go alone with her as a couple. Honami panicking thought that what she should now as Chihiro still likes her. Chihiro then said laughing that she was joking and that Honami doesn't have to panic. Honami thought that she was saved as Chihiro was just joking, but Chihiro then continued and said that there was still enough time left before graduation for her to win Honami's heart. Hearing Chihiro, Honami nodded in admiration before freezing up realizing what Chihiro just said.
