Summary[]
After class, Horikita Suzune sat in a café, her heart racing slightly due to the announcement of the end-of-year special exam. Though excited by the prospect of moving to Class A, she remained cautious. Reflecting on her journey from Class D, She acknowledged her growth but also recognized that teamwork played a crucial role, as the achievements thus far were largely due to her classmates' cooperation.
As the time for their meeting approached, Ayanokouji Kiyotaka arrived. Noticing her troubled expression, he asked if something was wrong. She admitted she had been preoccupied with the upcoming exam, which she feared would significantly affect their class's standing. She apologized for her unease, and Ayanokouji observed her discomfort, to which Suzune told him about her anxiety about the possible fluctuations in the class points, which could determine whether their class moved up or down.
Realizing that dwelling on the exam wouldn’t help, Suzune remarked on the absence of first-years. Ayanokouji noted that the end-of-year special exam was finally upon the juniors as well, prompting Suzune to reflect on how time had flown. Suzune thought back on her time at the school, having initially focused only on her grades and her pursuit of her brother's path. Over time, however, she found herself spending more time with people like Kushida and Ibuki, and especially Ayanokouji. She realized that this familiar, everyday life had become essential to her, leaving her both embarrassed and proud of how much she had changed.
