"The Second Chapter is about to Begin" (間もなく始まる第ニ章, Mamonaku Hajimaru Daini Shō) is a short story for Volume 11.5 of You-Zitsu light novel series, from the purchase of MF Tape J 042 collection, together with other three short stories.

Summary[]

During the spring vacation, with the second semester beginning soon, cherry blossoms were blooming, signifying the change of seasons from winter to spring. While Ayanokouji was looking at the cherry trees in their blossom, a girl called out to him. Sitting under a cherry tree, the girl in her school uniform, waved her hands towards him. Realizing the girl was Ichinose, he asked her if she had gone to school that day, which she admitted saying she had gone to check out the Student Council and had decided to do some flower viewing when she'd found a perfect spot.

Small cherry flowers, called Omuro Ariake could be seen intertwining, making her smile in happiness while looking at them along with the sky. Asking him to sit with her, she tapped the spot beside her to invite him. Having no reason to refuse her, he accepted her proposal to watch the flowers together. When he looked at the sky in the same way Ichinose had done, he felt that despite their size, they made a strong impression. And when the occasional gust of wind made the petals dance and fall, it felt as if it were a dream. Looking at the cherry blossoms, they casually talked as they, just for that moment, forgot the battle they would have to fight soon.
