Summary[]
Ryuuen was waiting alone in a silent karaoke room, anticipating a tense meeting with Ayanokouji Kiyotaka. As he waited, Ryuuen’s gaze drifted to a glass of grape juice on the table. He briefly considered using it as a trap, planning to spill it on Ayanokouji if he failed to notice it. However, knowing Ayanokōji's attentiveness, Ryuuen assumed he would likely notice, and if so, he would abandon the idea, realizing that setting traps constantly would only heighten Ayanokōji's guard.
When Ayanokouji finally arrived, Ryuuen noted his usual calm, composed expression, which Ryuuen found infuriatingly arrogant. They exchanged sharp words, each trying to maintain control over the conversation. Ayanokouji pointed out the absence of Ryuuen’s usual entourage, like Ibuki or Ishizaki, suggesting they might have lightened the tense atmosphere. Ryuuen countered that Ayanokouji, as the one who called him out, was in no position to make such comments.
After a few exchanges, Ryuuen invited Ayanokouji to sit, subtly attempting to maneuver him closer to the grape juice. However, Ayanokouji declined, directly hinting at Ryuuen’s intent by mentioning the possibility of spilled juice, effectively disarming Ryuuen’s tactic. Realizing his trap had failed, Ryuuen dismissed the idea, remarking that Ayanokouji could easily avoid such a move if he wanted to.
The conversation shifted to Ryuuen’s true reason for meeting Ayanokouji. Ryuuen expressed his intention to defeat Sakayanagi Arisu in a straightforward manner, emphasizing that he didn’t need tricks or traps to prove himself this time. He revealed his desire to show Ayanokouji, and Sakayanagi, his genuine strength and potential by taking her on directly.
This straightforward approach was unusual for Ryuuen, who was known for using underhanded tactics to get results. However, he explained that he intended to establish his superiority and earn Ayanokōji's acknowledgment. By proving himself against Sakayanagi, he hoped to solidify his worth, as he saw this as a necessary step toward a future confrontation with Ayanokouji. The meeting concluded with Ryuuen’s unspoken vow to Ayanokouji, declaring his true intentions to seek revenge.
