Summary[]
Due to lack of private points of their classmates, Hirata, with help of Kushida, decided to have a 'bring your own bento day' where they would make their own bentos and eat them to save points. The ones who decided to participate brought their bentos on the intended day and went to the courtyard to eat their lunch. Meanwhile, Horikita having no intention to join them wanted to have her lunch in the classroom alone. Kushida, seeing she had brought the bento, asked her to join them, which she refused. Wanting to help Kushida, Ayanokōji provoked Horikita, saying Kushida would make a better bento than her. Even knowing she was being provoked, Horikita decided to take the bait and compete with Kushida with the Bento they had brought.
They went to the packed courtyard and finding no bench empty, Horikita began to take her leave when suddenly a bench became vacant. Quickly, sitting on the bench with their backs together, they began to bring out their lunch. While Horikita had a sandwich in a sandwich shaped packaging with a zipper, Kushida had sausages and fried eggs with a bit of vegetable in her bento. When asked to take the role of judge, Ayanokōji took a piece of fried eggs and ate it. Similarly, he took a piece of sandwich Horikita brought and ate it. When asked his opinion, he said it wasn't possible to choose one as a superior as they were both of different styles. When Horikita asked Kushida if she wanted to tell her anything, she answered it was nothing and that she just wanted peaceful relation with Horikita. Then a gust of wind blew, carrying cherry blossoms with it as if they were dancing in the air. Seeing that, Horikita and Kushida began smiling. Seeing Horikita and Kushida smiling, Ayanokōji thought of a day when both would leave their antagonistic relations and show each other those smiles. While thinking about that, he also imagined his school life in the future.
